How do you deal with a noisy cockerel?

Although this isn’t a common question, it sometimes happens as we discussed in our recent podcast episode!

In this case, a cockerel had been relocated abroad as part of the family “heirloom”. The main problem was that it was now crowing at the wrong time, during the night!

As far as we’re aware, there isn’t actually an off the shelf solution for this, but as it was waking up the neighbours each time, we had to do something about it.

After speaking to our expert sound engineers, we came up with a solution. You see, all roosters when they ‘crow’, have to lift up their necks and head in order to generate sound. A simple fix is just to lower the roof slightly, even just a tiny bit so they can no longer stretch and create a loud sound.
